Stan Collymore has been linked with a return to Selhurst Park after being transfer listed by his club Leicester City. The striker had talks with his club's offcials about his future and they agreed that the player can leave the club if there are any intersted parties.
Palace boss Alan Smith worked with Collymore from when he was a youngster at Palace before moving to Southend United.
Smith is desperate to sign another striker but it is not very likely that Collymore will be that player.
Other striker news is that Mikael Forssell has been called up for Finnland's World Cup Qualifying squad which faces England on October 11.
