The Eagles look set to extend Paul Kitson's loan spell for another months. Palace boss Alan Smith Is keen to have him on loan for 4 more weeks, although he already agreed a fee in the region of £400,000 for the West Ham striker.
Kitson has appeared in the Palace squad in a couple of games but hasn't found the goal yet for the Eagles.
Nottingham Forest's David Platt is apparently also intersted in Kitson but he will have to wait until Kitson's first month with Palace runs out after the weekend.
Meanwhile, Palace coach Ray Houghton has been linked to the job as manager of Oxford United.
Oxford are expected to turn to Houghton if Steve Coppell rejects the chance to take over from Denis Smith.
