Gabor Kiraly has warned Crystal Palace he expects the club to challenge for promotion if he agrees to stay.
Kiraly is out of contract at the end of the season and he has yet to agree a new deal.
Several clubs, including two in Germany, have already expressed an interest in the Hungarian keeper and he wants to see signs that Palace are serious about getting out of the Championship next season.
"For me it’s the challenge that is important, -just staying in the same league is nothing special for me," Kiraly said. "If I should stay here we must go up.
"There’s been no contact from Palace yet about talks and we've got three more games to go.
"I've a couple of clubs in Germany interested in me and some other teams - but I wait for Crystal Palace because I like this club, I like the fans and the team. For that reason I don’t make a rushed decision."
Kiraly may have not choice but to look elsewhere if Peter Taylor and Simon Jordan decide they can do without his hefty wages.
Julian Speroni is set to start in the final matches as Taylor looks at his other goalkeeping options and that could spell the end for Kiraly.
"If I get no signal from the club then maybe I can look at another team," Kiraly said. "But I owe a big thank-you to Palace. They were the ones who brought me into the Premier League
"My first option is to stay at Crystal Palace - but if they say in the future that I'm not in the team I will look for another club."
