Gabor Kiraly admits his time with Crystal Palace was "a beautiful experience".
The Hungarian stopper lines up against his former team-mates when Palace take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Kiraly, 31, quit Selhurst Park in the summer after falling out with boss Peter Taylor and joined Burnley on a free after his contract had expired.
Regarded as one of the best keepers at Selhurst Park in recent years, Kiraly will be sorely missed by Eagles supporters.
And the man famous for wearing grey pyjamas admits he holds special memories from his time in South London.
"I had a very good three years at Palace and of course I still look out for their results," he said. "I like to remember my time there in a positive way.
"I learned a lot off the coaching staff, the players were excellent and Palace are very fair fans. I enjoyed my time there but I had the chance to move on and I took it.
"I can say thank you to Crystal Palace because they brought me into the Premier League for one season and it was excellent. I was the first Hungarian goalkeeper in the Premier League and that was a beautiful experience."
