Palace v Coventry City

Selhurst Park, Tuesday 8.00pm

Selhurst Park

Selhurst Park

Team news

John Oster is sidelined for this clash as the midfielder has a neck injury which forced him out of Saturday's goalless draw at QPR.

Defender Clint Hill got a dead leg from that match and is doubtful of playing, which should mean a recall for Lee Hills.

Sean Scannell is having a hernia op, so will miss out and Shaun Derry could be rested ahead of his hernia operation. Paddy McCarthy (shoulder) is a week away from a return.

City's Leon Best is a doubt due to a groin injury, along with Jordan Henderson so David Bell will come in. Midfielder Michael Doyle should make his way back into the side.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"Tuesday is not a game where I will feel sorry for other teams if I pick a weakened side because Coventry haven't got a lot to play for either so that might be an opportunity. We have got to play one or two of the squad at times now if we can

"Whereas Cardiff on Saturday I think we owe it to other teams to play our best side, I'm not one of them managers that play weakened teams."

Chris Coleman

"They'll be hard to beat and aggressive. They know it's a long shot for them to get in the play-offs. They're not in any trouble in terms of looking over their shoulder.

"We can see a scrappy game. It's a hard place to go, Selhurst Park. It's hard for supporters to get to and it's a difficult pitch for the players. It can be a difficult atmosphere and it's a good test for any opposition and I'm looking forward to it."
