Crystal Palace striker Stern John has moved to Ipswich Town on a month's loan.
The 33-year-old will have a chance to regain match fitness with a regular run of games after being sidelined for three months through injury.
John dislocated his elbow on the opening day of the season and has struggled to forge his way back in the Palace line-up with Alan Lee currently leading the attack.
The deal was completed before Thursday's loan deadline and John will make his debut for the Championship strugglers in Sunday's visit to Cardiff City.
Ipswich boss Roy Keane had previously signed the Trinidad and Tobago international as manager of Sunderland in January 2007.
