Crystal Palace wasted a glorious chance to move up to second place after losing 3-0 at Brighton.
The game was effectively over after the hosts scored twice two minutes before half-time and added another shortly after the interval to consign Palace to defeat in the A23 derby.
Leonardo Ulloa opened the scoring in the 43rd minute with a far-post head from Will Buckley's cross.
In first half stoppage time, David Lopez curled home a brilliant free-kick off the underside of the bar from the edge of the box after Kagisho Dikgacoi fouled Buckley.
Eagles boss Ian Holloway brought on Andre Moritz and Kevin Phillips for the second period in an attempt to salvage something from the game.
But four minutes into the half, Brighton got their third goal of the day after Liam Bridcutt's centre was headed back by Andrea Orlandi and Ulloa slotted home.
It was the Seagulls' first home win over Palace in 25 years and they move within goal difference of the play-offs.
