STEPHEN DOBBIE has joined League One outfit Fleetwood Town on a season long loan.

The 31-year-old featured in just one Premier League game for the Eagles last season, in the opening defeat to Tottenham.

He spent the rest of the season on loan at Blackpool where he scored 4 goals in 27 appearances.

After signing for Fleetwood he said: "I'm looking forward to it.

"I met the manager a couple of weeks ago for 20 minutes. That's all he needed to turn my head to come to this club.

"I've seen them progressing over the last couple of years and I can't wait to help that continue."
