Gregg Berhalter and Jovan Kirovski have been named in Bruce Arena's US squad for next week's friendly with Germany.

Arena has named a 20-man squad for the World Cup warm-up friendly, which takes place in Rostock on Wednesday.

Berhalter and Kirovski, who are both likely to leave in the summer, are among four English-based players called up.

Arena said: "We are continuing to search for the right combinations on the field and will get another chance to see our European-based players in this match.

"Our domestic players have performed strongly in 2002, and we hope to continue to see that team spirit and intensity in the upcoming matches.

"We have emphasised the need to face quality opposition to challenge our team in advance of the FIFA World Cup, and an away match against one of the top teams in the world in Germany certainly provides that chance."

Full squad: Kasey Keller (Tottenham Hotspur), Tony Meola (Kansas City Wizards); Jeff Agoos (San Jose Earthquakes), Gregg Berhalter (Crystal Palace), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Cory Gibbs (St Pauli), Frankie Hejduk (Bayer Leverkusen), Eddie Pope (D.C. United), David Regis (FC Metz), Tony Sanneh (FC Nuremburg); Chris Armas (Chicago Fire), Landon Donovan (San Jose Earthquakes), Cobi Jones (Los Angeles Galaxy), Eddie Lewis (Fulham), John O'Brien (Ajax), Earnie Stewart (NAC Breda); Jovan Kirovski (Crystal Palace), Clint Mathis (New York/New Jersey MetroStars), Brian McBride (Columbus Crew), Joe-Max Moore (Everton)
