Hull City name change protest City Till We Die

I'm part of the campaign City Till We Die formed because our owner Assem Allam wants to change the club’s name to Hull Tigers. He said City is a ‘lousy identity’, ‘irrelevant’ and ‘common’. He has already renamed the company ‘Hull City Tigers Ltd’ and is increasingly using this name for the football club. A cross section of fans' groups formed City Till We Die to organise the ‘No To Hull Tigers’ campaign to retain the club’s traditional name. Dr Allam has dismissed this is a ‘small minority’, and said that ‘no one on earth is allowed to question how I do my business.’


Football fans as a whole are urged to make their voices heard that this is a step too far and the names of our clubs are not for others to change. So what can you do to help?

Show your support on social media using the hashtag #NoToHullTigers and following the Twitter account @NoToHullTigers and Facebook page [Link]


Hull City fans sing 'City Till I Die' at 19 minutes 04 seconds into matches. 19:04 was chosen because Hull City Association Football Club was formed in 1904. If you’re at the game you can support the chant and you are more than welcome to join in!


Members of City Till We Die will also be outside the ground in the run up to kick off. You may see black and amber ‘No To Hull Tigers’ badges and ‘City Till We Die’ scarves. You are invited to say hello and show your support.

We've got enough problems here to be honest but good luck anyway and wish you even more luck in getting Palace fans to sing "City till I die" on Saturday, never gonna happen
