Have written up an article on thoughts on Allardyce so far and how the numbers compare with Pards (warning - pretty stat heavy). As most people have guessed, the attack is functioning less well, but there are signs the defence has improved despite the shambles vs Sunderland, which leaves room for some optimism. Have a read and let me know what you think.

Whatever the stats are he has certainly brought some very good players into the club since he's been here.

Nice. Classic new 'old style' British manager- tighten up from the back, keep clean sheets, build on that. Hopefully can build on the weekends result vs WBA, a point would be lovely

Sam is great IMO. I like what he says and does. The players he sought and bought made sense (which is a nice change). If he keeps us up (or not) I'd like him to be our manager for the next 5 seasons. He doesn't mess about. He knows who and what is required. He gets a tick from me.

The jury is still out. His initial impact was none existent, certainly in terms of any positive impact. The players almost seemed to resent him, I don't know if it was a lack of trust but something wasn't right and that included Allardyce's body language. Someone who is usually so animated sitting hunched in the dug out. Then there were some signs of improvement, we were unlucky against Everton, beat Bournemouth, indifferent - poor against Sunderland and poor against Stoke. Now Allardyce has his players in, he seems more animated on the touchline and possibly slightly happier. Now is the time he should be judged, you can argue he inherited a pigs ear of a team (an argument that has a little but not too much sympathy from me) but now he has had time and money. Now we will see if he still has it what it takes. I am not convinced he is the man for the future, already rumours of Benteke being unhappy with the long ballup to him but time will tell.

i think he is good manager and has brought in the right players,and the players we already had have improved under him ,we had so many holes in our team and he is getting our fitness levels back to what they should have been at the start of the season ,but it will be very hard for him to keep us in this divison ,fixture list etc and the teams around us have improved, it would be such a shame if we went down as we should never be in this mess , Edited by miss smith (28 Feb 2017 8.35am) Edited by miss smith (28 Feb 2017 8.36am)
