It would depend on the type of offence that has been registered, and the nature of the job. Your friend would be best to check with his/her officer that deals with them.

Give this chap the benefit of the doubt. His friend might be concerned about working alongside a paedo, rather than being a paedo himself. I understand the concern. I work with a bunch of perverts and some of them have rubbed off on me a bit.
