Well, we can't get any lower in the division so its all up from here
Also I'm positive that Puncheon is not PL quality.
I'm positive that 343 is not (yet) our best system.
I'm positive that we'll get better.

Lets be honest, we're pretty much always crap on opening day - time to ride the roller-coaster for my 52nd time!

I just hope it gets better from here and this was a wake up call (like Sunderland last season)

Thank god for beer!

Well, it can't get any worse... Up the Palace, I'll always follow and sing whatever happens. I think we need to be patient to be honest.

Newly promoted clubs very often start well and continue like that for a few games. Palace myst lear to apply themselves and concentrate. We .can expect the next outing to be better, e en at Anfield.

Must have been the biggest wake-up call (for a manager) ever. Understand FdB's philosophy having spent so many years at Ajax. With players like Bergkamp, van Basten etc - yes, you can teach them total football from the age of 7-8-9, but veteran pros with a couple of years in PL that have the Palace DNA? Not a good idea! No use blaming any players for the 0-3, although Punch/Waard now must have come to the end of being labelled 1st team players?
What happened really? Even Zaha seemed lost...please bring back our own system of playing, not any fancy tikki-takka passing that demand players comfortable on the ball. Ours aren't......

At least it came against a team that are top of the league and not most people's tips to go down

The way most people I've seen in the last 24hrs are banging on you'd think there were no positives but we created almost double the chances Huddersfield did. We just didn't take them. Clearly fosu mensa and RLC were highlights and Townsend made an impact, i thought the back 3 showed promise but need to improve decision making when trying to move the ball around. RLC showed Puncheon how he needs to step up his game and Benteke needs to be more physical in holding the ball up.

Its a new system so we need patience, booing players after 30 mins on their debut for passing the ball backwards which is what they've learned all their life to do says more about our luddite approach to football more than anything.

There were positives you just need to look for then.. which most don't want to do

Everyone keeps banging on about our players being unable to play passing football but when you consider two of the back three grew up in the Ajax system, PvA grew up in the Dutch system, Loftus-Cheek can clearly pass well, we have Cabaye, we have Zaha, Luka looks comfortable on the ball and as FdB's game from Ajax was based on quick and direct wingers, well, hello Townsend...

...my point is, we are only a couple of players away from pulling this off in my opinion. Huddersfield did an Allardyce on us and saw that the RWB was our weakness and time and again went down that channel with Ward not having the pace to get back. It's what we did successfully against Chelsea and Arsenal. If we had someone with the pace of the United lad at RWB then they wouldn't in my opinion have had the joy they did.

The big positive was the fact we've finally got some decent loanees again. I'm not going to pretend there was much more than that to shout about but let's at least give it a few weeks and the end of the transfer window before we Dan89.

We did not have more chances than them. They continually looked dangerous going forward. We looked lost. Zaha was playing so central he lost nearly all effect it was a shambles as the 3-0 proved. Don't get why you're pretending otherwise.

As for booing players, he literally passed the ball backwards every time. The noticeable one was from a corner he was the man we kept just beyond the halfway line. The ball came to him and rather than pass to either of the wise guys or put it in the box where our tall players were he turned and passed to henessy allowing Huddersfield to push up and be safe. It was ludicrous.
