Well, maybe because you trashed everything and everybody you ever came across.

So, at what point should someone take responsibility for themselves? This lad is now 19 and 'its the Council's fault'. Well is it? Did they just do whatever was practical to help? Why is it the Council that has to handle this and not the parents? Is this the nanny state?

I do have some sympathy for the lad.

The mother, however, had foster kids!? When her own son was struggling. I believe fostering is quite well paid though.

The fourth estate aren't worth a third hand mini.

They are interested in reaction because that is what ultimately makes money. Their relationship to the truth extends to the views and perceptions of who is paying them.

The media are a necessity but also a corruption within all societies to an extent.

I don't know what the answer is.

I am surprised, surprised that is that the council agreed to help him. Most councils will not help a young single male.

This is on him and I have no sympathy he was kicked out of his home and then kicked out of his supported accommodation. At what point does he take responsibility for his own life.

As for his mother why even bother interviewing her. What's she going to say that is newsworthy apart from the usual that she loves her son.

If she loved him that much, why did she not take him home with her to her (new) husband and foster children, after all, charity begins at home!

I agree Becky it just a stupid thing that the media does "let's ask the mother her opnion is valid and won't be biased!" Its like the referee asking Sir Alex should he give a penalty to Man United?

A mate of mine in Lewisham tried to get on the housing list and was told that as a single male he had no chance. I think this is typical for most councils because they have to prioritise well this guy had his chance and blew it.
