Getting mugged by a knife wielding gang of thugs can be dangerous too, Diane......

Diane Abbott has been an MP for many years and apparently is very popular with her constituents. I think that her long standing attitude to the police may have something to do with that popularity.

In some ways I wish she was Home Secretary in a Corbyn government as she would realise very quickly what a tough dangerous job the police have. Its a lot harder when you have to justify your actions and run the risk that your constituents turn against you as they think you have become pro police.

In the meantime I consul myself with the thought that she cannot go on for ever. Trouble is she has a ready made and younger replacement in Dawn Butler.

The price we all pay for pandering to race is that we have to have halfwits like Abbott in Parliament.

It is your tory gammon that have reduced the police service to this pass.

Labour had a good record on crime.

Your prejudice is showing.

I don't disagree that the Tories and The Maybot in particular are failing on crime. However Diane Abbott's hostility to the police goes back many years so I don't think it is prejudiced to point that out. Dawn Butler has also said some pretty negative stuff as well. I think they are pandering to the feelings of their voters like most politicians do. Like I said if she ever became Home Secretary I think you would very quickly see a different Diane Abbott.

But not so good on debt.
Labour are always happy to spend other people's money.

What do you think will happen when you import people from violent crime ridden cultures and predominantly men?

Blaming the Tories is a pathetic cliche and it is typical of Left wing obtuseness to be blind to the obvious.

Surely you can see the hypocrisy of a statement like that? To suggest the Tories are blameless on this is nonsense, as much as I acknowledge there are other factors.

I don’t know anyone who likes Diane Abbot or thinks she’s a good politician - every time I hear her speak on an issue, I nearly always find myself disagreeing. I always read about her popularity with her constituents, but I find it genuinely baffling.

Both Labour and the Tories changed the demographics in London, which is why the crime rate is so high.

Japan for example, has high populations in its cities, less police and low crime.

You refer to 'gammon' and then unironically talk about prejudice......fair enough.

Her largely Black constituents vote for her because she is Black. Not that difficult to grasp.

I never said Tories were blameless. They are in part to blame for the immigration scandal. I don't believe however that the taxpayer should have to shell out for more police so that we can combat a crime wave caused by immigration policy that hardly anyone wanted.

Really it is shocking the dramatic levels of crime we are Becky.

Can you explain why this is after 8 years of the tories 'the party of law and order'?

What has been their policy during this time but to cut police budgets in the name of austerity without any regard to the consequences.

Labour tackled crime but racial prejudice lives on.

She's only there to make the rest of the Shadow Cabinet seem intelligent.

So what official crime figures reveal is racial prejudice is it?

Deluded.
