So are the club using FFP as an excuse not to buy or is there truth in it?

Personally I haven't a clue so has anyone done the Maths in order that we can put this hotly debated subject to bed once and for all;along the way giving some insight into how it's calculated please without it becoming Einstein's Theory perhaps more Duckworth Lewis?

Assume the calcs are based on our accounts.

For avoidance of doubt, I am not privy to the salient details apropos our finances at the current time, nor do I have the historical information to hand, so I am not in a position to proffer a detailed explanation as to the affects of FPP on our transfer activity next month.
But don't expect a sigificant loosening of the purse strings !

Just start calling it "FFS" and you'll be on the right lines.

We all know that City and Chelsea and the bin dippers can do what they like but the minute we go over by the price of a bag of aniseed balls we'll be strung up by the furry bits. And don't talk to me about Bournemouth.

It's an excuse club is far of hitting it plus there is ways you can do things to get around it.

SP himself has even messed up few times letting it slip it's not ffp which is problem.

the issue is sp is trying to run the club so it's balanced we bring in say 100m he will only spend 100m you can't do that if you expect business to grow.

I also think something iffy is going on with the books anyway and SP appears to be taking fair amount out of the club with his so called separate companies offering services.

Tell me more, I’m intrigued now, or is that an educated guess?

Not many do things for the fun of it and you can hardly call running a football club where you have endless employees taking money for not producing anything of note, fans moan at almost ever decision you make etc etc that much fun I would say.

So the option is to have someone close own a catering company and use them, someone own a travel company and use them, etc etc etc.

Who knows if it happens but let’s be honest the hundreds of million that swirl round football must make a lot of people seriously well off.

If you think it’s all legit then we might aswell say this world will carry on just like it is for another thousand years let’s not lower our plastic use etc etc. No bleeding chance mate!

I think Grumpymort blame SP for everything in life... SP is the evil nemesis of CPFC and secretly supports Brighton and his only plan is to destroy the football club..... That's the kind of sensationlism that some are ilking towards on this site.

Back to FFP. The fanzine just put up a nice bit on it for those who want to know more without tinfoil hats.

So, i have been told, but do not have exact details, that Parish has property, in soho under the company name 'smoke and mirrors'. That is his. He then rents this out to CPFC, they rent this office space and pay 'smoke and mirrors' nicely for it - but it's the chairman's office. The chairman, Steve Parish.

That's an extra way parish gets paid by CPFC. Then there are obviously shares, bonuses, a basic wage.

I do not have any issues with parish making money out of the club, so long as it's reasonable - is this reasonable??

Let's look at the squad - is Sakho really worth it? for what we want to do, is he the only option? Same goes for Benteke, Wickham, Schlupp and Reidwald.

Do we need 2 number 1 goalkeepers? Who is on more? We can't find a younger keeper to grow and challenge or an older head happy to take the back seat?

There are plenty of players we could poach from champ sides, relegation threatened and mid table periferal players that would suit us,

This was once a quality forum....

The club will be up for sale soon. That is my prediction. As soon as that new stand starts going up we are on a countdown.
We could be entering Newcastle territory.

Totally agree. Think SP is losing interest.
Ashley?

The clubs already up for sale SP said this he is just holding it until the right fit comes along which is best for the club (more like what is best for his pocket)

People rip into Mike Ashley but he has put in way more then SP has.

As I said the FFP stuff is rubbish it's an excuse.

What doesn't add up to me is how little the Americans have helped the club you would expect with their contacts we would get aid from things like sponsor deals but nothing and it even looks like the so called ring fence money which was suppose to cover all this new ground work was a lie.

At the end of the day we have owners not willing to dip into their own funds.
