personal opinion....you sometimes see a team doing ok in the World Cup even if they have one or two passenger-players ie Average players.

In the Champions League....every member of your squad must be World Class and on top top form.

The fact that Greece won the European Cup tells me that a team of journeymen can sometimes be good enough to win big international competitions.

Messi looked lost with a bunch of journeymen in an Argentina shirt.

Who is the better team : Bayern Munich or Germany ? Surely Club football leaves International stuff miles behind ?

But then again, you see Brazil versus Holland and realise that its not always dull with country versus country.

And the early stages of the Champions League are really just a joke. Does Shamrock Rovers versus Partizan FC have any glory ?

And if a player was offered one winners medal, which one would he choose ?
