Mitrovic (suggestion)

Now hear me out, in my years of posting I have suggested one or two players, but I read a story on sky sports today and I was struck by the simplicity of this deal. I’m sure someone else will have said this but I haven’t seen it on the boards. [Link] Mitrovic has openly stated his desire to leave, he isn’t getting the opportunity, he is third or fourth choice at Newcastle. We could give him a load of game time because we have literally one option. He is a combatative player that loves to get stuck in and will hopefully show the kind of attitude and desire to fight Benteke for the place on the team that will force Benteke to sort out his attitude. He is a very good close friend of our Serbian monster in the middle and the two have played together at club and international level before. There is a very good chance they could click together at Palace on the pitch. The fact he has openly stated he wants to leave should keep the price less high than had he not said that. I know he isn’t the perfect player and has an issue with discipline, but I think we could get the best out of him.

He’s a really good player that Newcastle have managed f*** up ( they’ve ruined so many players) he was highly rated before his Newcastle more. Could be worth a shout.

[Link] He looks ordinary from this video. Apart from one quality chest down and strike, the others goals had elements of good luck... If that's the best video somebody could come up with to show-off his skills...(not many goals either) then he's probably not much good I would suggest? But for the right money maybe a good benchy. He looks ordinary from this video. Apart from one quality chest down and strike, the others goals had elements of good luck... If that's the best video somebody could come up with to show-off his skills...(not many goals either) then he's probably not much good I would suggest? But for the right money maybe a good benchy.

This season in the PL he has scored 1 goal from 6 appearances.Last season he scored 4 goals in the Championship.In the previous year he scored 9 PL goals. So what do you recon would be a fair fee, around 6-6 mil ?

I've suggested him before. I think he could add some aggression and strength to our attack which I think has been missing at times, plus I wouldn't underestimate the effect of him playing alongside Luka. If we could get him for less than 10m I think we should go for it.

Pretty much what this man said. No need for another big type center forward as long as Benteke is here. And if Benteke goes, he should be replaced by someone better, which I doubt Mitrovic is

I remember an interview with luka, he was asked best player he’s played with of something’s similar, he said mitrovic , so looks like they are good mates. I just always thought mitrovic and the selhurst crowd would be good.

I have to say that I believe Mitrovic would go down very well at Palace he would love the atmosphere of SP and the fans would really take to him. However I do have reservations over his temperament he seems way to easily wound up to an explosive state mostly over nothing! Is he then really worth the risk even though it may be a cheaper option? I would rather Luka concentrated on his own game and not have anyone else to worry about!
