I can't help but notice the under reporting that's gone on over this latest school shooting. It's very obvious the main outlets are ensuring that they give it the bare minimum coverage.

I suspect that this is related to neither of the suspects being right wing and one of them being a female to male transgender individual.

I'm sure if one or both of them had held right wing views they would be screaming blue murder.

Strange how certain activists on Twitter aren't abusing the 'trans' community like they were happy to with the 'incels' when one of their number went postal.

I think you are reading for too much into it.

There have been 116 mass shootings in the US so far this year and there have been 15 shootings at schools. (Wiki)

This incident has been reported on over here but a school shooting is too common to cause a stir unless there are a high number of casualties.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Do you?

The media can't help themselves. Anything that taints their manufactured perfect world is sidelined.

This was on a large screen at London Bridge Station on the day it happened, and then the next day had already been relegated to old news, even on the BBC's US/Canada feed.

At the time, I put it down to the sheer volume of gun crime making it too common an occurrence, but with the reporting now of the gender neutral status of one of the perpetrators, you might be onto something.

“My experience of life is that it is not divided up into genres; it’s a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel. You know, with a bit of pornography if you’re lucky."
