Although there's also a domestic window where we'll be able to trade with EFL teams until the 16th October. So that'll be the day we get rejected for a new right back and we can say at least we tried. Please Palace come out of the traps fast this window! Although I predict it'll be a strange and tricky one not just for us. Anyone know when the league is restarting? Surely it's before this domestic window. I can see championship teams waiting for the domestic window to sell any star assets, holding out for big money (as is their right) as Prem teams get desperate if they are off to a poor start.

As many have said, with our current limitations - Manager set in his ways / Aging squad / limited investment - and given that the likelihood is that none of that will change during the summer break, I think that in this coming season more than any other the fixture list is going to make or break our season - if the first half dozen games are winnable the squad / confidence / momentum might carry us through the difficult times, but if the first half dozen games are against the top 6 etc etc we will likely be firmly nailed to the bottom of the league without the resources / confidence to get off it when the winnable games come around.
