Went to morrisons the other day was quite surprised how cheap many items were instore cut down in price and how much cheaper shopping has been of recent. Anyone else notice? Or is there trouble ahead?

Noticed on Saturday the store was really quiet nothing like what a Saturday morning would of been 12 months ago.

My own experience of 'local producers', is that major supermarkets had them bent over a barrel. Either conform, sell at our low prices at bulk, or get the fk out.
And even before CV-19, some producers decided the stress for producing for SCOTE (for example) , wasn't worth the hassle. Apples weren't the right shape or colour, etc.

Supermarkets used their 'buying power' to cut prices for the consumer (and maximise profits for them), but I think this may be coming back to bite the supermarkets.

They'll only be offered £1.3m with 'add-ons' for a eventual total of £2.1m
