We dont have a fully fit best 11

Bats is not our player & apart from keeper, i dont think we have 10 DM's. Joking aside, Chek is a shoe-in as a CD with(imo) Cahill, then with, as it stands, Clyne & Mitchell as full backs.

If going for 442, id br inclined to go with Andros, Eze & the 2 Jmacs with Wilf & Ayew up top, bearing in mind Bats is only on loan, or, are we only going for this season?

Everybodys opinions are going to & will differ, dependant on what games we lose, nature of loving our club i guess.

For me Zaha isn't a striker but also can't cross so isn't that great on the wing. Him and Eze are best running at defenders so let them do that with Ferguson and PVA / Schlupp providing the width. Could play Schlupp because of the three CBs to cover. Get Riedewald in the centre or, if we're feeling really ambitious, Meyer. Ideally we'd sign a new CB to replace Dann.

Eze has done a reasonable job as a winger but naturally, he is more of a number 10. And for me, Wilf as a striker does not work

Guaita - Best option

Mitchell - Playing every game he gets better and stronger PVA has his work cut
Dann - I feel is reliable still
Cahill - Expirence, resilience
Fergurson - Has the pace we lack on the right hope he still has it when he is back

Kouyate - Energy and Height
Luka - Puts a foot in more then anyone else in our team need him in the team also setpieces.
Eze - Love his composure on the ball almost like he slows down time to pick his pass.

Zaha - He'll always do his bit in this team.
Bats - Best finisher in our team, lethal in the box
Schlupp - Pace, power and gets goals and assists.

One thing for sure, its not easy picking a so called strongest eleven but I've included Fergurson he's a real prospect (if he ever recovers from this 'forever' injury)

Having never seen Ferguson, I don't feel I can pick him, therefore I'd go with this. I think Luka is best when he has a good passer alongside him, like when Cabaye was with us. As such, I think it's important we get Jairo into the team. I keep bleating on about it, but he looked class in preseason and I felt so sorry for him that he got injured just prior to the season's kick off. He also looks forward when passing, rather than constantly going sideways or backwards.

I know Eze's preferred position is in the middle, but I think he and Wilf can learn to switch during games. When he signed he said he was told he'd be playing on the left with the freedom to come inside, so this is not a surprise where he is playing. Eventually he may well end up more central but he's a young player with plenty of time to learn. Once PvA is back I think that will make a big difference, as Tyrick is nowhere near as adventurous.

I'm torn with Ayew. He works harder than anyone, but he oftentimes is missing from the 18-yard box at vital times. Playing alongside Zaha I think they are too similar and sometimes seem to get in each other's way. If we persist with 442 then I think either Roy has to bring Bats or Tekkers in for Ayew, or he needs to move Wilf to the wing, possibly for Andros. At least with Eze and Bats in the squad we actually have real options this season, which the same could not be said of last season.
