Would like to see Buckland, Ferguson (if match fit) plus 2 or 3 of the U23s. Would rather we played well, introduced a few young players and lost than win through for the inevitable away draw at Southampton or Man City.

Use the squad players and some of the young ones - with Wolves away in 3rd round not believe in any cup run this season anyway.

While ever the no. 1 priority is PL survival, then a cup run is a luxury.

I expect to see Butland in goal and hope that Woods will get an outing at CB. I doubt very much that Ferguson will be fit enough to start. Beyond that your guess is as good as (and probably better than) mine.

Went to the corresponding fixture about 10 year as a championship team and got a 2-2 draw against premier Wolves. Replay was the famous perfect hatrick by Danny Butterfield, erstwhile emergency striker - in 8 mins

Are we allowed to play Batshuayi, if so I expect him to play. Butland almost certain to play I would have thought.

With the unfortunate injury to Jimenez, Wolves do not possess many options in attack at this juncture.They have played the 18 year old Fabio Silva and another 18 year old Theo Corbeanu has been on the bench.
There have been rumours of Diego Costa joining the club.

Other teenagers who have been in their matchday squads of late have been Rayan Ait-Nouri,Lewis Richards,Owen Otasowie,Taylor Perry,Luke Cundle, Ki-Jana Hoever and Andreas Sondegaard.
A bit different to our 'Dad's Army' !

2nd Feb 2010, was there at Selhurst. I also remember the replay at Molinuex, after a 2-2 draw at SP, the 4-1 away win in 1995, with Armstrong 2, Dowie & a blinder from the late Darren Pitcher, was also there.

Does anyone know where Ferguson is in in terms of being match fit..??

According to Physio Room has a slight thigh strain following his long term knee injury;

I'm really intrigued to see Ferguson play.

Certainly need to give Butland a start. Eze not having as much game time recently would be my choice in his best position as a no 10 alongside Bats. A back four of Clyne, Tomkins (more game time but will probably be Dann), Sakho or Dann and PVA. And then a midfield including Reidewald, McCarthy, Ayew (out wide) and Meyer. Could be a strong 11 without those that started yesterday playing?
