I am surprised someone at the party seems to have 'broken ranks' after so long.
I bet a few people knew the real circumstances, even if they didn't participate, their silence has been just as damning.

Let's hope the truth is outed, and justice served.

It had all the hallmarks of the Metropolitan Police parliamentary protection group.

I suppose it would be inappropriate to comment about the details of this since a trial might be a possibility in the near future.

I always though the police would not let this one go because of the publicity around the case. Who ever did this should feel the law breathing down their neck for the rest of their life, even if there is ultimately no conviction.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It would be interesting to know the names and occupations of everyone at the “party”. Not saying there was a cover up but, it is not beyond the realms of possibility

Absolutely horrific and disgusting how he died!
Hopefully justice will now be served!

The refusal of those at the "party" to co-operate with the police is what infuriates me and I suspect most people.

If Barrymore is innocent he would have been better off telling all to the police he might have faced minor charges e.g. drugs but he could have redeemed himself.

And yet the psychology of "grassing" is what i find a tad interesting.
The police exhausted the forensic avenue early-doors. There was no opportunity to construct ground-breaking 'back-dated' forensic evidence.

Was it the BBC ? did that excellent documentary to mark 20 years and bring this case back under the spotlight. Remarkable investigative journalism.

So grassing about a bit of stolen gear puts the informant to shame. And yet for murder (and this one in particular) there was going to be no other way to get the information needed to bring this to trial.

There must have been a severe breakdown in relationships between those who witnessed/committed something at the party, for someone to finally come forward.
Whatever the motivation (and this will be highlighted by any defence team) I hope the truth comes out.

I would have all the party attendees lined-up naked and go through all of their buttocks with a jack-hammer. I am quite liberal when it comes to the crime and punishment.
