The Times shows this summmary of PL games missed by players due to injury or illness every Saturday. We've been top almost all season, briefly knocked back to second by Liverpool around Christmas.
This initially looks like bad luck, but does it highlight problems not under the eye of a watching fan? Training issues? Fitness problems? Medical/Physio team failures?

Ageing squad more injury prone and not helped by signing injured players (Ferguson) or renewing injured players contracts( Wickham ) then you have players like Sakho just willing to take the money complaining of a twinge. Time to have a big clear out if we survive and get some younger hungrier players in. There is always an element of luck with the number of injuries you have but we must have one of the worst records over many seasons could be training or Roy's insistence of running players into the ground by playing his favourites every week and making substitutions only in the 65 minute or later unless forced to make a change.

You do realise there is another thread on this that was started before this one . . . Just saying.
