Shame Ray Lewington is leaving too. It seems Frank Lampard is to come in - still hope that this is only rumours.

There’s no doubt that he has done a great job keeping us in the division for 4 years but it was time for a change. Whoever comes in has got a monumental task on their hands so it will be interesting to see who they have lined up. I’m guessing we will hear something next week.

It's good that the privileged few can give him a proper farewell tomorrow night. Beating Arsenal would be a fitting send-off!!!

Thank you to Roy for his commitment to the cause. Look beyond the first team performances and see a club that has blossomed Since those awful days back in 2010. Cat 1 status Academy, U18s top drawer, U23s on the verge of promotion. Kept Wilf despite outside pressure and influences, sold AWB for £50m. Could he have introduced young players earlier? yes but he stuck with what he knows and our place in the Premiership has been established. Happy retirement Roy, Look forward to honest punditry when Sky get you in, as they surely will.
I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB! |

He's a fantastic bloke and has done a terrific job for us under difficult circumstances. That being said, the time is right now. Some of the football has been grim to watch and I think we need someone to come in on the condition they get funds to renew the squad. My heartiest gratitude to Roy for keeping us in the league all this time.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

I'm glad he's leaving with his head held high and just in time before the relationship with the fans in the stadium turns sour. I'd have hated it to be like when Arsene Wenger stayed on and got booed and had placards telling him it was time to go. Arsene had had great years with the club but in the end these things become stale. Even our own Sir Steve Coppell presided over some pretty dismal matches. I like the idea of Lampard as it reminds me of bringing in Coppell.
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

Been a fantastic manager. A real gent and kept us safe with something to spare since he's been there. I'll look back as his time as manager with nothing but gratitude. I'm pleased he's going with his reputation intact. It feels time for a change and I hope he does now retire and enjoy it. Be good if we see him sitting alongside Parish in the directors box now and again, just watching and enjoying the game he has contributed so much too.
