Like most, I reckon, travelling to Wembley from East Croydon next Sunday. Any issues know with regard to Engineering works and rail or tube lines not working. Any recommendations on best route from East Croydon would be useful. Thanks all in advance.

All details are on National Rail or TFL websites. There are no/very little trains going in to Victoria. So London Bridge will be you most likely station to arrive in to. Then it all depends whether you are planning on drinking somewhere in particular or going direct to Wembley. Jubilee line goes directly from LB to Wembley Park.

Was having a beer with a lad at lunch who had a mare getting home from Wembley Apparently a train broke down on the Wembley - Marylabone line and they all ended up having to get a bus to Edgware road and then a tube to london Bridge before catching a train back to Croydon . The things we do for love

Metropolitan line and the high speed train from Rochester, no problems at all, BUT an hour and a half slowly moving down Wembley way after the games is bollocks. I know from experience it can be slow going, but when you’ve got a one an hour train to catch at St Pancras it was a tad frustrating

I have done that queue a few times down to Wembley Park but it was really slow this time. Even the fans having a go at each other got bored by the time they reached the steps. Perhaps that was the plan
