Anyone think we should make an offer in the summer? It looks like Chelsea would be prepared to sell him particularly if they take Gallagher back.

He arguably played some of his best football at Palace and got in England squad.

I sometimes wonder if he looks a bit heavy and ponderous but maybe I’m being unfair.

Although only 26 he seems to have been around for ages and has the experience and obvious talent our squad needs.

He's a tidy footballer in a big guy's body.

Only issue would be where would we play him. Is he a centre mid? Is he a wide forward? I'm not really sure

I'm not sure he was. Early on he practically dragged them through a match single handed. You can only sustain that for so long; and he would not have to do that with us.

According to Wiki he is 26 now so at that age he really does need to settle down with a club that he can play for regularly or the rest of his career will disappear fast.

It's not spelt 'a club' it's spelt 'Crystal Palace'

Just my opinion but I'd have him back in a heartbeat. There is a very good footballer there, one who deserves more than a bit part in a squad.

Think of it this way. Would he improve the squad? Yes is the answer, considering Luka, Riedewald, Jimmy Mac's age and Gallagher going back, not to mention Kouyate (who I think we should renew due to his versatility).
