A handful of them are recognisable and doubtless those better informed can identify others who went on to great success elsewhere but overall it doesn't look as though we missed out on any stars.

A lot of 'who he?' in that list. I remember being annoyed when we were linked to Benik Afobe only for him to sign for Bournemouth instead and score on his debut (we were at the time desperate for a half decent striker, the perennial Palace challenge).
