'The fall of an institution'.

Who would have thought it from Dixon of Dock Green to the Casey Report with its findings of cataclysmic failures and all the 'isms you can think of.

Met can ‘no longer presume that it has the permission of the people of London to police them’.

More euphemisms for letting crime continue to spiral out of control because there are some bad eggs amongst 10s of thousands of staff. No doubt, too many minorities targeted, that's a surprise. Never would have thought systemic racism and misogyny would get in there. There is no actual evidence, just whitewashing emotive crap that social media users and Khan apologists want to hear. I think they should just tippex and change names and reel off the same report for every organisation in the Western world.

How about I write a report:

If crime is to be reduced let police have much more freedom. When someone 'doesn't want' to be policed by our police, then they can be arrested and removed to somewhere they're more comfortable with. Karachi and Angolan police are presumably far less racist, misogynistic and corrupt. And very likely to take a knee.

Who would have thought it under Khan's watch but there you go.

A lot of it just comes across to me as 'we've found faults in something we've turned our attention to for scrutiny against our nonsense ideology'.

Never been a massive fan of the police but lack of funding, as with much of the Public Sector, seems to play into their failings but a lot of other stuff I would have actually considered to have been marginal improvements on historical criticisms.

I look forward to the next report that says a member of the medical staff at Great Ormond Street once made a fat-phobic joke whilst off duty and has shown ambivalence towards those who wish to identify as lobsters.

No lessons learned.

Bleat about racism and all the isms and fail to recognise that the police should be focused on stopping crime and catching criminals instead of woke nonsense.

Loads of management emails can be sent and go straight to the recycle bin. A new handbook can be printed, by a publisher who Khan's mates own and that too can find the bin straight after training. The report found what it wanted to, and was designed, to find. I would resign if a serving officer, and I hope thousands of them do. Basically calling white officers perverts, corrupt and racist. Best of luck with recruitment from the community Khan represents.

It's a disgrace.

The Police have their wronguns just like any other organisation, but to continuously allow public totally biased criticism of its officers is utter insanity.

Many years ago my Godfather told me that police action saved his life. At that time he was an immigrant finding his way in London. He was identified as needing help and was there for me.

The bashing of authority happens far too often with headteachers seeming to be the latest targets. This encouraging of judgement of the established community on behalf of those who do not wish to abide by good standards does erode those standards.

I agree that there should be no places of safety for wrong uns in any organisation.

'The most toxic, racist, sexist place I've ever worked'.

'Rotten to the core'.

Apart from that, its crap at solving crime.

The Left don't want crime reduced. They want more of it. Look at how they effectively cheered on BLM as it wrecked US cities and the subsequent fall out over here. They want, primarily, black people to commit more crime because it means they can increase their desire, without actually being willing to do what it takes, to be their saviours. Less crime, less dopamine generating opportunities to virtue-signal.

s***, during the grooming scandals the Left actually defended the people doing it by way of securing block postal votes. Even liked tweets suggesting the victims of these gangs should keep quiet by way of promoting diversity.

But ignore all that. As always with this kind of thing, ask yourself about the timing of the release. Anything else going on this week in politics?

I am not sure that the Met is as toxic as this report says however I do believe it should be broken up.

The Met serves 2 masters the Mayor and the Home Secretary it has dual responsibilities local policing and then national responsibilities.

The structure doesn't make sense the Met should be stripped of all national responsibilities and be solely accountable to the Mayor for local policing.

As for their national responsibilities either they should be given to the National Crime Agency or to a new national body which should report directly to the Home Secretary.

The Met is utterly broken. The facts about how much experience its response teams can put out on the streets is terrifying. Mates of mine tell me of being on supposedly 'riot' trained teams where some of the girls can barely lift a shield, let alone run with it. And of ex, potentially still very much so, gang members turning up as recruits. With almost none of them looking at much beyond getting a few years under their belts before buggering off into other jobs.

And a political class, for their own reasons, who don't want any kind of significant crime levels to fall. The Tories, because fear sells, and the Left, because crime keeps areas poor and therefore keeps their votes coming in. Both Tories and Labour.

We have a morally bankrupt and venal beyond belief political 'elite' who quite literally would rather see kids continue to be stabbed to death, or teenage girls groomed and abused because it helps keep their vote counts high.

What has the Muslim Council of Britain got to do with this?
