No thanks. Hennessey has made a few gaffs so lets get the most fault prone keeper I have ever seen, aged 35, in to replace him. Jules must be wondering what is going on.

Presumably he'd be replacing McCarthy and it's a downgrade. I can't forget that ridiculous goal he let in against the USA in the 2010 World Cup. Any idiot knows that if you want to stop a ball you get your chest behind it. He had a reputation for stupid mistakes before that and it hasn't gone away. I just typed "Rob Green gaffes" into Google and a whole litany of them came up over about six years. The last thing we want to inspire our defenders and organise the penalty area is a keeper as dodgy as a seven-pound note.

i must admit...i didnt see this 1 coming, but i can see the thought process behind it... hes very good in the air, pretty good with both feet and ducking scores about as many goals as wickham, gayle and campbell...perfect fit
