Same thing has happened over the last couple of windows swiftly followed by threads calling him a tight arse, ripping the club off, incompetent etc etc.

He continues to do a difficult job really well. It's a shame that some people quickly forget the good stuff which in my opinion far outweighs any mistakes he makes.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

He splashed the cash and got some deals done, and hats off to him for that. It was a bit muddled and amateurish if we really did chase 30 players inside a January window, but he stuck to his guns on Jenkinson and if he really was asking for 70k a week that was a good shout. We strengthened in some important areas and Parish recognized that spending 35 mil or so to protect the 100s of millions at stake in the premier league made good business sense. He backed the manager, and he hasnt always done that. I think now is the time to move on. I dont know if Parish will ever be an elite level chairman, in terms of his decision making and leadership, but hes what we have got.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

The very best chairman I've had in my Palace supporting lifetime.
And that includes Bloye, Noades, Goldberg and Jordan.

As Palace fans we should all be bowing and scraping to this bloke because he's the best chairman any of us will see in our lifetimes.

Couldn't agree with you more mate. Seen a lot of chair men come and go. But by far the most businesses minded one we have had. Not to mention saved us from the brink of folding up. Hats off to you sir.

And look at the lift it gave the players last night just knowing what was going on back at the training ground.

Have you seen Benteke celebrate a goal like that? - great to see (and he worked his butt off up there on his own last night)

First match 5th October 1974 - not a good day!

Arthur Waite?

Incomparable i suppose.

For the modern game in our position you would struggle to find someone better.

Hats off to Sir SP

One thing for sure is that both Arthur Wait and SP were and are lifelong Palace.

Has always backed us well. Hopefully now has a manager who will spend it well, initial signs looking good as he has plugged the primary issues in our squad.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Arthur Wait was just slightly before my time but I still refer to his stand as The New Stand.

I'm talking about chairmen in my supporting lifetime. Those that I really remember.
Bloye was about as dodgy as you could get.
Noades...never had any affection towards him. Making Mullery manager didn't help his cause. Appointing Coppell still didn't make us think more of him. I'm one of those that protested against a South London United.
Goldberg had good intentions but not the moolah to back it up and consequently nearly finished us as a club.
Jordan. I was thankful for him at the start. He saved us.
Turned out to be a shyster. Him and Pardew would've got on like a house on fire - both a pair of chancers.
I'm quite happy with who we've ended up with now.

This has been the best window for me.
Left side issues addressed.
Jedinak replacement issue addressed.
Not sure about Sakho but as with all of them time will tell.
Reported spend on the first three above £38m - Benteke was £32m by himself!
Well done to everyone at CPFC!!

Always makes me laugh when I hear Palace fans talking about the mistakes Parish has made.
Of course he's made mistakes but they seem like honest mistakes.
Unlike his predecessors.
