Who went to Burnley and watched the WHOLE game live ??
Or who like me were able to watch the game live on TV ??

Because if you did you would know that Palace dominated then game
We lost because we switched off THREE times with our concentration and tracking back
Zaha especially was at fault with the FIRST and THIRD goals
After 90 minutes Pardew could be heard SCREAMING at Zaha to stay focused and concentrate as there was only minutes left , but sure enough Zaha didn't track back his runner and they scored a THIRD
We played well , Pardew managed the game well , his substitutions changed the game
Watch his after game interviews , he cares , it hurts to lose like this
Get behind him and the team , Ive said before we are a mid table team and NO MORE , but even mid table teams HAVE to concentrate and WORK HARD for the whole.game .

Spot on. The performances are there, we're just leaking goals through nothing but a flurry of defensive errors. Stop the errors and things will change massively. We looked 10x the team that Burnley are. I still have faith in Pardew.

Disagree with the comments on Zaha however. Massively influential this season

Where was Martin Kelly for the first? Zaha was one of the only people chasing back after 90 mins of running up and down the flank!

Your posts are getting boring!

I thought punch was to blame for first and second. Poor corner that Wilf chased hard to try and tidy up. Similarly out of three players standing on the edge of Burnley' s box is was Wilf who nearly got back to make the tackle for the third.

I read this board everyday but never write anything; except this.

I thought, this looks good. Straight up their end from the kick off and a corner. Pressure on straight away. Get a ball whipped on onto Benteke's head.

Then Puncheon telegraphed the corner and ten seconds later the ball's in the back of our net.

I've seen us concede some pretty pathetic goals this season but that one must be a contender for Defensive F***up of the Season. Truly abysmal.

The constant defence of Zaha on here is amazing
Just as it was for Bolasie
But thank god we got a fortune for him and sold him on to Everton
Yes Zaha can beat a player now and again , but does he chase back ? does he cross well ?
I won't even ask if he scores goals , he couldn't finish his dinner !!!

His all round game needs to be a whole lot better , there doesn't have to be a step over and a trick EVERY time he gets the ball .
Keep it simple some times
Get a cross in
And learn how to finish

Get OFF Pardew's back

You realise he has 4 assists this season? More than any other English player?

How you have managed to blame Zaha is amazing, he possibly had his best game for a while yesterday and didn't dive.
He isn't a defender, so where were they, he didn't let that bloke come behind him on the back post and shoot, that led to the goal. Mandanda flapped at second not Zaha. It wasn't Zaha who let Marney pinch the ball in midfield and pass to Barnes with no defender in sight.
A lot of your posts lack any truth, just fantasy.

Er , we play a system that actually makes Zaha DEFINITELY at fault for the THIRD and probably at fault for the FIRST
He didn't dive ?? ~ Oh thats a start then

If you think Zaha wasn't at fault , why do you think Pardew avoided praising him when interviewed after the game !!!
When asked the question , Pardew avoided it and said that the " team " need to defend better

This season especially Wilf has worked his socks off every game. There is some very harsh critisism of him on this site from people who are extremely hard to please.
Imagine what it would cost to buy a player of his ability.

Croydonlad i think you are wrong regarding Zaha yesterday, he put in a great shift, his ball in for Wickham was superb and he was tracking back all game, you probably couldnt see that from your tv screen but when your at the game it stands out.
Zaha frustrates me with his whining and petulance and over doing the tricks at times but he tries his hardest is not lazy and wants to win.
Yesterday it was noticiable that the team did not give up, they tried throughout and perhaps did not deserve to lose but when you defend like that you deserved to get punished

Personally, I think Zaha is the most talented player we have ever had

He's a kid

His skill is sublime, and he is dedicated

Yes, he might get caught out on tracking back

But what a talent. Who do you want? A square passing, back tracking plodder, or this magnificent rare talent, that with the right nurturing could be a world beater.

I think Zaha is a work in progress. At his best, he'd make Messi look like a waxwork!

Come on. Kids like this are a fragile resource.

If you want square passing plodders, lets re-awaken the ghost of Bobby Kennard.

(Few people will get that reference.)
