Absurdly stupid, and an excellent example of why religious thinking has no place in determining laws, and the rights of people.

Certainly those laws. But what should have a place in determining laws and the rights of people?

Did they not know the laws? If people come to this country we get rather anxious that they obey our laws even if they think they might be contradictory to their own standards. I know these two aren't British, but they ought to have learnt the laws. Not being funny, but if you want to have a bit of unprotected sex outside of marriage, just pop down to New Addington, the only place I've ever seen a girl's bedroom listed as a business on Google Maps.

Although I found out I had been jaywalking in Berlin because I didn't think their laws would be any different to ours.

Petitions, conjecture and loud shouting.

Completely agree but presumably they knew the law and decided to ignore it.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Do you not think that people should respect local laws when in foreign countries?

No-one has said they had sex in UAE just that they were arrested when a doctor discovered she was pregnant and unmarried.

They could have been respecting the law when there 100% but had nookie in South Africa.

That should've been their defence. Or claim they did it on the plane, or even at an embassy which doesn't actually count as UAE soil does it?

Indeed. They should have gone to the SA building for safety to do it but being South African they would have been arrested at the Saudi Arabian embassy.

Philosophy, if I was going to pick a primary influencer.

Do you believe that Islamic defined law is reasonable? This is all a bit unusual
