Actually feel sorry for fans of 'Big Clubs'

They will never experience what it's like to win a match like today or last week. It will just be another necessary win or a good performance against a rival. Every match we play against a big team and get a result a just something else it was incredible. The passion our players showed and the chemistry between them and the fans is something truly special. You can shove your top 4 up your @rse because you will never know what tonight felt like for a club like ours. PTID

The saddest of all must be Celtic fans. Their domestic season is finished in January and their Champions League ends the minute they have to play someone they've actually heard of. The only challenge is counting up to seven. Arsenal and Chelsea fans seem to have reacted to losing against Palace with the entitled indignity of commuters whose train is late. Great post. So many Man United supporters don't really understand the highs and lows, the sheer pain of administration and the joy of mere survival. Hence they don't even sing at Wembley! They have lost the love of a community. Rich in money but not where it counts. I am as happy as Sasa with a hot chocolate Parrot Man City supporters do get it though

And Arsenal fans... Out of 30 games they go to they only lose 8, draw 6, and win the rest (16). And that's a 'BAD' season. I'd rip their hands off for that every year in the PL! I hope they get a Pardew when Wenger leaves and find themselves in a relegation fight! Entitled PR1CKS.

Feel sorry for all my friends who supported Liverpool at school 25 years later they must feel that they picked the wrong pony in the big club stakes

Thats what makes Palace so exciting to follow..the rollercoaster ride...its that never knowing what is going to happen next that keeps us on the edge of our seats or as with me last night jumping and screaming around my kitchen lol. Most follow the big teams up there simply because they are up there but there isnt the passion like we saw last night

The last time Man U fans were genuinely euphoria-ridden was 1999 v Bayern Munich. Once in 18 years. Stuff that for a game of football. Chelsea are enjoying themselves this year tbf and so they should with Conte. Man City and Arsenal? No, thanks. Liverpool still create an atmosphere and love their footy and are up for it for a number of games.

I don't feel sorry for most of them. A large number of them choose to support one of the big clubs as opposed to supporting their local team or a team with family ties. Feck em. They must still have the same highs and lows though. It's just a high comes from winning a big European game or clinching the title. Their lows are only winning 2-0 against a little team or, god forbid, losing 3-0 away to a team in a relegation battle. I do feel sorry for the fans of those clubs who supported them when they weren't fashionable and are now priced out of the game. I have friends who are Chelsea fans who would watch them home and away 30 years ago but now attend the odd cup match or watch on telly.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |
