Basic cannabis not chopped and changed and made stronger should be legal.

A plant.

Alcohol... Cancer heart attack wife beating causing.... Legal.

It's a flipping plant. I am not even a user.. and I can't fathom that I live in an age where a natural plant is illegal..

Agreed. I don't really get why personal use something of limited harm that could be made even safer under regulation is a big deal.

Thousands die from the effects of smoking, drinking, or eating fatty/sugary food yet our government stops a few people getting stoned.

Common sense. The war on drugs has failed, and the harm caused by illegal drugs produces more social harm than the drugs themselves do. Evan the US has begun to realise that not all drugs are the same. But the UK sticks to the absurd and ignores all evidence that most of the illegal drugs aren't problem drugs. Heroin and cocaine, esp crack, are dangerous the rest generally are less problematic than alcohol and tabbacco. Meanwhile they represent a massive income for crime and money laundering

I expect they are on drugs.

Totally get what everyone is saying about alcohol and tobacco and I agree.. But this isn't a good idea. I have posted in the past about this. Cannabis is often seen as a gateway drug to other harder substances. We are already have two two legal drugs which cause a ton of social and health related problems let alone adding a third to the mix.

I do however think it should be made better use of for medical reasons such as ms and cancer but that would be a different grade and type than stuff sold for recreational use.

Didn't they have similar aspirations before the 2010 election only to pipe down when in power.

Anyway this is a policy that appeals to me but it's a shame the only party advocating it does not.

That's because the dealers offer harder drugs free to new clients in the hope to get a new market. Same as all gateway stuff. "This is good, but this is even better, try it free".

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers
