Well that's out of the blue. Don't know what to say really, I like Ward but we need an upgrade, especially in a 3-4-3 formation. Saying that, I wouldn't want him to leave. Model professional and a reliable squad player.

He's not a wing back, gets caught out of position and his crossing isn't great. Thought he'd be back up this season and maybe leave at the end of the year ?

When he was at his best, he was fantastic. Unfortunately that seems to have been quite a while ago now.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I like Ward and am very thankful for everything he's done for us. We have a new system now that doesn't suit him and he also is not as good as he once was. I'd like him as back up but does deserve first team football so can't blame him if he does want to leave.

Joel has been a rock over the last few years,but i don't think he has a very strong hand in any contract negotiations.

my thoughts are that this is Speculation based on our Pre-season 343 formation. If there is any chance Of a 433 being used, I think he'll stick around.

I've always like Ward, but always thought he's one of those players that's probably too good for the championship but not quite good enough for the premiership. He's always given his all but the last 2-3 seasons he possibly hasn't progressed as much as the club has in terms of the players around him. I also thing full backs are one of the most important and influential positions on the pitch so if there is a possibility to upgrade there then we have to take it.
