not out of hatred, it's just I'd hate to support Sunderland or Birmingham City, they seem to be under a continual shadow of grimness, it's always a struggle, lacking the exuberance of a Norwich, Bournemouth or even a Stoke, instead each is a vortex of boredom. Luton would be a rollercoaster, or Pompey, but for me supporting Sunderland or Birmingham is a depressing prospect. Do you have a similar team or two apart from Brighton, and maybe Millwall?

Newcastle, Arsenal.

"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017.

Having attended Birmingham games and sat with their fans you are 100% right.

Minutes 1-10: we are a glorious team with a top tier history and we are heading for the Premier League.

After going a goal down: we're s*** we are, there's no point watching this, get the manager out now.

The last time I was in Clydebank.
God that was depressing. No wonder they folded.

Grim-sby - it's in their name.
The overwhelming stench of fish.

That could just as well describe Palace according to the HOL experts

Don't you think that outsiders would say the same about us. Perpetual strugglers. Managers walking out on us and if they don't they have to be sacked for incompetence.

I think inside the ground we differ from Birmingham fans. I've often heard the crowd at Selhurst get behind the team even more after going behind. When it gets to 4-0 of course it's a bit of a stretch to hope for the fans not to get the hump. Whereas at St.Andrew's I've genuinely seen some fans leave a few minutes in after going a goal down.

I should imagine it's been pretty s*** being a Leyton Orient fan last couple of years, from a play off final away from the championship to non-league in two years, a famous little club who Palace used to regularly lock horns with back in the 70's and 80's ruined by a s*** owner, this sort of thing must be so gutting for the fans who must feel so helpless!!

Arsenal are probably the only big club I could stomach to support. Least they have some sort of ethos and identity rather than feeling hollow and plastic like Chelsea and City.
