Time keeping

I think it's time that football adopted the time keeping system used in rugby. So the clock stops for injuries and substitutions. Then at 90 mins the first time it goes out of play, the game is over. An end to the mystery of added minutes really needs to go.

Wasn;t this proposed recently as part of possible reforms - but instead of 90 mins, the 'in play' time would be set a 60 mins. "It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

The ball is in play for about 60 minutes of the 90+ anyway, so this makes sense if you're going to pause the clock for stoppages. We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Yep. The ball is in play for about 60 minutes of the 90+ anyway, so this makes sense if you're going to pause the clock for stoppages.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Agreed 60 minutes per game with the clock stopping each time play ceased would be good. Its been highlighted again today that 5 Prem matches on Saturday only managed 55 mins of more. Burnley and West Brom had the ball in play for only 46 mins and 40 seconds!
