Yes I know, madness was bought with big money and didn’t seem to impress. But seems we are in the market for a defensive midfielder and is much younger than other players we have been linked to. Sunderland need money, Coleman has said he can leave, he wants to leave so we could get him for a much lower price than Sunderland paid for him.

I understand that Sunderland paid £13.5 Mill rising to £17 Mill for him when Moyes was in charge.

They paid the full 17 million. "Getting him for much lower" would be what?.......10 million?...7 million? For a defensive midfielder like Ndong who hasn't proven anything?

Considering they are riddled in debt, they dont want him loaned out but need guranteed cash, I'd have thought a very cheeky low bid could be tabled. Test their resolve.
