If Cabaye and McArthur go, would you use their combined wage to bring Wilshere in? If I look past his annoying face, there is a potential gamble there.

I read somewhere that despite his poor injury record, his stats for the last two seasons have been really good. He's got a young family, so I can't see him wanting to move out of London to Wolves or Everton.

Also, two other things: 1) I think RLC has booked his place in the World Cup, and we know his class and I think if he shows it at a World Cup there is no chance of getting him back next season - even on loan - so we need to get a new playmaker, and 2) Keeping Zaha is priority number one this summer, and if we can get a 'name' in early on, I think that will show Wilf that we're serious. He can already see the spine of the team with Tomkins, Sakho, Townsend, Luka and himself, and throw Wilshere in there and you are looking at a serious team. I heard the Zonal Marking guy saying he fancies us to challenge for Europe next season...

I like the way you are thinking. A fit Jack Wilshere would be a great addition. I doubt he would come to us or if we could even afford his wages still I hope I am wrong.

The main thing is to make an early statement signing so that Zaha can see we are serious about trying to breakaway from circling the drain. If we can do that then I think he will stay. If on the other hand we have another bad transfer window then I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to move on. We have to get away from deadline day signings.

I heard a manager say that he targeted players in the January window and opened discussions with their club and agents at that time to sign in the summer window. That's a policy I can get behind and let's hope that's what the club is doing.

He was sh*t for Bournemouth and is going to be sh*t for every team outside of the top 6. He's a big team player.

Fit after the injuries? Never gonna have that pace again. Watched him this year and God, he's slow. Arsenal have been really destroyed down the center, with him, Ozil and Xhaka there. That's how you end up in 6th place even if you have world class players

This one doing the rounds again would be a good signing though imo ....Jack Wilshere is close on the move to Crystal Palace. Information heard during the conversation about the organization of the July #CPFC training camp in Sweden by @Mateqi6.

I really can’t see Palace letting both Mac and Cabaye go. IF reports are true and Cabaye has been offered a new contract on reduced playing time and wages and he stays. IF we do sign Wilshere given Wilshere’s injury history I think it would be more likely and a good tactical move keeping Wilshere injury free by Playing Wilshere from the start and then replacing with Cabaye at some stage late in the matches.

I think Wilshire is the best English player in his position in the country and it's madness Southgate not taking him to the world cup.

Would I have Wilshire to Palace?

Hell yeah.

Wilshire would be a great addition if possible.

A London move makes sense, hassle free, still see close mates .From player point of view he’s seen RLC get into the England side playing for us. Will get the assurances wilfs staying in the red and blue next season, wages would be favourable for him We’d love him, still got years on his side. Wilshere for Cabaye, all day long.wouldnt have said that a few years back though. Quality if he joins .

This would be a disaster imo:
(1) (most importantly); this guy is a crock, that will not change. Anyone saying “if we can get him fit, he’d be great”, you’re fooling yourselves. He’s injury prone and you can’t get away from that. Arsenal’s medical staff are far better than ours and they couldn’t help him.
(2) So overrated. What has this guy ever done? Played well against Barcelona several years ago?! Not good enough for Bournemouth. Seriously, if this guy wasn’t English no one would be talking about him or offering him £100k+/week
(3) Expensive, let’s pay the money to keep Cabaye instead.

He's currently fit and cannot get in the England squad ahead of players like Delph and Lingard. Or even RLC who, though he had a good season was, - at best - our 4th best player
