Why not 23 year old Ozan Tufan from the same team, but Souza? Both are defensive midfielders, both only the youngster is available for 2-3 million, while Souza is valued at 8-10 million. And frankly, who has watched Fenerbahce, knows Ozan Tufan has been more important to them than Souza as long as he played. Not wanting to extend his contract caused him to be demoted to the second team. But he's the one for the future, the kne who will still play at top level 3 years from now, not Souza.

Don’t know either of them, but it’s be very bizarre if we went in for one at a few million and walked away with someone else for 10-15m... Can’t imagine we’re paying that kinda money? All seems very Palace tho. :/

Why in God's name not go for a top league accomplished player like Gonzalo Castro or Junuzovic or Wass if you wanted a deep lying playmaker of a similar age with Cabaye? Now they bring this Brazilian for 13 million, so late in the transfer period, when the others moved for free or 4-5 million early in the period.

From this show reel he looks like he can pass, tackle, head, dribble and has a turn of pace, but perhaps has a fiery side. Looks pretty decent, albeit YouTube can be deceiving... Edit: the music is awful btw and the beginning is a weird start with it basically showing him getting into arguments! Edited by taylors lovechild (31 Jul 2018 9.52am)
