Thousands of students are today striking calling for the government to take urgent action over the environment.

[Link]

As these young people are so concerned about saving the planet and its resources I thought I would help them with my suggestions.

- Teenagers who forget to turn the lights off or unplug their chargers should have then pocket money deducted.
- Screen time on mobiles and video gaming should be restricted to 30 mins per day.
- Fast food and fizzy drinks to be banned its unhealthy for the environment and the customer.
- All schools to introduce compulsory PE especially cross country running and cold showers of course to save on the heating.
- Children to be used to sweep chimneys so that coal fires are more efficient.
- The school day to be extended to 12 hours including Saturday its more energy efficient to group people together.
- Hollywood blockbuster movies, cinemas and popcorn to be banned as incredibly energy inefficient.
- Vegan diet to be introduced with compulsory Brussels sprouts and cauliflower.

I am totally with you on everything apart from the Veganism. All these little eco-warrior nerds will be Vegans anyway, being a beta male/ weird hipster chick is the in thing for this generation of weaklings.

Better change that to being force fed a good old fashioned battery hen.

The only real hope for the younger generation is that the older one should die off in sufficient numbers.

Ah the "Logans Run" solution I like it as long as there is an opt out for people who live in Beckenham.

Many years ago there was a political party called "Ban the Old Fogies" they didn't stand in my area which was was a pity I liked the idea.

Once someone starts to pay tax then I will listen to their opinion. If like in there case, they have up to this point had everything provided by parents/society then they have no right to say how anything should be run or how tax payers money should be spent.

If it helps the debate, the younger Miss YT - still at school whereas her older sister is now at university - said that she wouldn't be taking part in the protest today, because she thinks it's (the protest is) "ridiculous".
