Looking at footage of their attempts to put the fire out appears unprepared for a building with such importance for the economy of Paris, how can you put a fire out any quicker? and can anything be learned from this in regards to buildings we have that attract as much income interest?

Seeing one fireman struggling to pull a hose along the street towards the raging fire seems ridiculous to me and only one jet of water from the outside that is being blown away by the wind seems even more silly! surely you need at least ten ladders extending up with powerful jets of water going onto the wood to get stuck into it, no idea what's happening inside but you can see one fire engine at 3:44!!

Seeing one fireman struggling to pull a hose along the street towards the raging fire as hundreds of people stand and watch seems ridiculous to me really.

I’m not sure who started that fire but I have a hunch

Reports I’ve seen today stated they couldn't put too much water on it as it may destabilise the stone walls and cause them to collapse?!

I too saw the one lone hose pipe on Sky News for the majority of their coverage and I’m no expert for sure but are they being serious?
