Great for puns and for 10m possibly a risk worth taking given his scoring record (albeit in Belgium)

We need Matteo on this of course! But this gives a bit if info. Smallish, nippy, hardworking, and quite prolific in Belgian league, used to working as central striker in a 4-3-3. Surprisingly reasonable fee. Must be a catch somewhere!

What, Samatta?

(Bit disappointed this is still available more than 2 hours after the opportunity was first offered. This place has gone.)

As a woman, I can step aside, or step up my game...

The admins keep changing my pun related titles! This was originally titled 'What's Samatta?' while my Batshuayi post was titled 'Batman Returns?' It seems there is concern people may become easily confused.

Yeah at 6' tall Roy had better ask for the grass to be cut shorter otherwise we wouldn't be able to see him.

6 months ago, I'd have been so excited for this transfer. But he's had a pretty lousy autumn. Watched him in the Champions League matches. His team had very good opponents and did not manage to do much, but what surprised me is that he couldn't really lead the line.

Yes, he is not "smallish" by normal standards (an average man is 5 foot 8 or something like this), but for a center forward he seemed pretty smallish. They sometimes played him as second striker, with Onuachu up front, but he's mostly used to playing as center forward and won't really come down to help in midfield.

Really fast though, so much like Jordan Ayew (better though, but don't think better than the multi-goalscorer Jordan of year, just better than usual Jordan of most seasons). Maybe club changes style of play and his runs inside will be fed by technical players. If we keep playing Luka and Kouyate together as the "playmakers" in central midfield, I can't see him getting assists though.

I still don't get how they secure a work permit for a Tanzanian. I guess there are some extra points for players who have won titles the previous yea (Genk are still champions in Belgium), but I thought no player from a country whose national team is not in the Top 50 could come to the PL.

Bottom line- he would help score sometimes (which the team desperately needs), but he's neither a center forward nor a second striker and might not be great in either position.

This is why we need a more flexible transfer policy. Irrespective of whether he is any good, singing something that irritating has got to be worth playing him.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.
