Don't shoot the messenger.

Crystal Palace and Italian side Lazio have joined the race to sign Manchester United's 34-year-old English full-back Ashley Young, who has been offered an 18-month contract by Inter Milan. [Link]

Not sure how welcome he would be . . .

Do Premier League regulations stipulate that each club must have at least one total and utter c**t?

If so, this could be a useful signing.

With Reidawald looking okay as PVA’s replacement and with Schlupp also a left back, you would think Young isn’t really required. Probably just paper talk?

Not sure Young can play for us, what with an Eagle flying over him every warm up....he'd be too full before each game.

Useful rumour, particularly if it helps us leverage a lower deal for another full back. Would not want this chappie anywhere near my club. Never forget him trailing his led and falling to the ground over Dikgacoi first season back in the Prem.

In all fairness to Young, he always tried hard at Utd - even playing totally out of position. He may not be the best player in the world but he's certainly good enough for us. We would need to be selling a high earner though. Off the top of my head Young is about 80k a week.
I don't personally like him but if he played for us I would quickly warm to him. (if any good).

He hasn’t looked that bad, in recent matches, still very committed.
How long for though? There cant be that many miles left in those old legs .

Rubbish. He's never on his feet long enough to get tired & fatigued

Young doesn't seem that popular with the first posters. I neither like nor dislike him. However, I don't like his age (34?) We don't need a stop-gap left back and that's about as much as he is likely to be for us if he came. He's a decent enough player but no thanks.
