Probably just another slow news day.

It's all a big leap of logic to get from Dyche's 'one day an offer will come along that I fancy' to he's going to come to Palace in 2 years when Roy decides to quit.

Things change so quickly in football that any speculation about who might fill a managererial role in 12 months time is a bit meaningless. In the case of Dyche he might have been snapped up by another club by then, or we may have been relegated and not an attraction for him, or he has a nightmare season in 2020/2021 and is no longer an attraction for us.

Don't Burnley seem to give the Manager what they want in terms of transfers? The strikers and attacking players he's been getting far out-weight Palace.

We are a more appealing Club for most things ahead of Burnley but I don't see any Manager wanting to come here with literally no input in transfers, having to take orders from a turncoat ex-Striker who inexplicably is Director of Football despite having zero experience, telling the new Manager he doesn't need a new striker, he already has ONE in the starting 11!

Roy's a ruddy genius what he's done with this squad but even Mr. Professional himself has said our last 2 windows are a bit of a joke and I don't see that stopping. We got 55mil for Wan-Bissaka and still spent nothing so I don't think we'll ever have a transfer kitty.

I don't think he would fit in here. He's got a free pass from the media because he has done alright with mediocre, hard-working players who all seem to fit the same profile. Hard working, generally white English (hardly dare say that but I have) journeymen come good kind of players in a tight, direct, physical system where the roles are clear.
I don't see Dyche getting much out of players like Zaha or Townsend or Meyer. A few of the older ones do fit his profile.
However, Palace like a bit of thrill and flair with a few dodgy decisions thrown in (from our players as much as anything else). We like to skirt with relegation and bankruptcy twice a year and all I can see Dyche doing is going apesh1t and having a heart attack with us. He would fit in at Wolves or Bournemouth but not here.
Plus, basically too northern (Sorry Sir Steve).

Brilliant.

I heard he was first choice ahead of De Boer but the club wouldn't pay his release clause.

I'd have him ahead of Roy. His track record is pretty impressive.

Every time we play Burnley they are generally awful. But his points record is pretty good. However I can’t see why he would want to come to us.

I can not see this ever happening look at the Burnley team you may notice it is how shall we say very european/ caucasian the squad is the same. There are a few exceptions the manager chooses who he works with.

Not sure what you are hinting at but Burnley are good at picking up promising lower league players something we don't seem able to do.

I think that he means Dyche appears not too pick Black or to use the politically correct term 'People of Colour'
**allegedly** that said It something I noticed a few months back as well.

He has not been very commital when asked about his future at Burnley. I don't want him at Palace though. I don't like his face, his voice and (probably) more importantly the way his team plays.
