Temperatures could reach 30c. 86f. Sure, that's pretty warm but does it really need a warning?

Where I live I'm surprised we're not in a drought. I don't think it's rained at all for two weeks. I've been in shorts for the whole time. You may think it's not that weird but, come on, I'm in the far West of Ireland. It's been 23 up to 28 which probably seems pretty tame to almost anyone else in the world. However, I don't remember any warning - but that could be mainly due to there always being a warning these days. No one notices anymore.

BBC/RTE will be off to make the biggest scene imaginable if the mercury is 0.01 above the median for this week.

Yes. It may be great on holiday in your airconditioned hotel or villa with the latter purposefully built to keep the heat out but British homes are designed to keep the heat in and with the expected high humidity alongside the temperature it will be dangerous for the elderly

Hot weather? In June? What on earth is happening? Maybe they will send out a national alert via all our mobile phones?

Hot weather???

Government warning for the elderly to stay in doors and a plea for neighbours to periodically check their wellbeing??

Absolutely pathetic!!

Is a warning being issued really the big deal that people are making it out to be? If you don't care for such warnings, just ignore them.

God be with the good old days.
The days of good old hot weather....... and an absence of Chicken Little running about shrieking "the sky is falling down !"
