Times today (selective quotes)
'Lifeless Palace need a new boss and sense of direction' (headline)

'Watching the Burnley match I saw one club with a vision and plan for the future and another who are rudderless'

'The hierarchy at Selhurst need to find some kind of direction, they lack identity'

'the plan each season is to do just enough to stay in the Premier League'

'the club are in real need of a shake-up'

.... there is much more !

Strike a chord with anyone ?

Parish writes the occasional piece for the Times.
Perhaps it’s wishful thinking that he could be the author and is now willing to address the manager issue!

Palace need to be competitive. It sends out the wrong signal when flops and sick notes are rewarded with new contracts, and out of form players are routinely favoured by a manager whose tactics belong to the 1970s.

After the Burnley , game Palace need something that’s for sure.
Which boss to sack I would ask.
As Hodgson made no secret of the need for significant additions to the playing staff at the end of his first season, and never got them after any season , It rather looks as if Hodgson, sold himself to the clubs wish to merely survive.
As the Burnley game , and others in the last two seasons have shown, the whole strategy is wearing very thin.

I believe the 'Net Spend' during Mr Hodgson's time in charge has been around £10 Mill which is paltry in PL Terms.

You and I clearly read the same paper this morning.

Cascarino is obviously enjoying our lack of form/direction at the moment. He often seems to me to have something negative to write about Palace in his column.

Trouble is, it does strike a chord!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I read it this morning.

Regardless of what you think of Tony Cascarino, I found it interesting that he has articulated most of the issues that most on here see.

While it has been convenient for some people to lay all the blame at Hodgson's door, it's clear that the way the club has been run for the last few years is a big factor in why we are heading in the wrong direction.

He might have scoured HOL for the views of the erudite supporters who grace this cherished site!

Wouldn’t want Hodgson anywhere near a transfer window.
Look at his efforts at Liverpool,
Konchesky
Poulsen
Shelvey
Mereiles
Jovanovic
Danny Wilson
Brad Jones.
Not exactly inspiring and he was instrumental in signing Konchesky and Poulsen.

If we plan to invest in the summer let’s undertake the investment with a new manager with progressive ideas.

It’s probably one of the biggest problems , any manager has got.
Working with a sub standard group, yet not being able to highlight that fact , for the obvious reason it would automatically destroy any morale left in that group to work with.
It could be said Hodgson, has asked for the negative attitude of a lot of the so called support, simply by agreeing to work in this sort of situation.I think that could have happened because, he was never going to work else where at his age, and this is his boyhood club, It’s somewhat natural he would want to help them out in these circumstances.
Someone here commented on Roy’s facial expression Saturday, it was resignation , I wouldn’t be surprised if the face showed what the voice could not say. They are crap, and beyond help..What’s on the bench? More of the same.
I think Roy has done as much as he can , or anyone else for that matter, with this lot, he should walk, but he won’t, because of what I have already stated.
