For the sake of argument lets say the green light is given for football to readmit crowds from the start of next season.

Putting aside any lingering health concerns, will all of you have who have been regulars at Palace in recent years, particularly season ticket holders, be returning? Or is it the case that for some of you the football habit has been broken and you've decided that your money could be better spent elsewhere?

Certainly things aren't being helped by some of the turgid stuff we are witnessing from Palace this season. I will probably renew my ST as I do miss live football, but there have been plenty of matches this season where I have been more than happy to have been spared my usual 90 mile round trip.

I do believe that supporters in the main will return in their droves, whilst accepting that some who have been financially impacted by the pandemic will sadly have to forgo their trip to Selhurst Park.

My feeling is that supporters who do return will feel like camels in a caravanseral that has reached an oasis.

I’m the same as you Pete, it’s a bit of a schlep for me to get to games and I’m so glad I haven’t had to do it this last year, but I expect I’ll re-new. Hopefully with a new manager and a massive freshen up of the squad. If things don’t change, I doubt there’s going to be a waiting list somehow and we might struggle to sell out for a lot of games.

I am 70 next year and a round-trip from the south coast can take about 4 hours.

Given that the round trip with my local Palace Family is usually the high spot of the day, I'm looking forward to going back

I'd go back in a heartbeat. Not for everyone though I do appreciate that. As dire as some of the watching has been of late I have been a season ticket holder for more years than I can count now and I never lost the excitement of match day.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Supporters relish the frissons of excitement, the roar of the crowd, being able to engage in lacerations with tonsils leaving their moorings and the general matchday experience.

I'll still put up with the 7 to 8 hour round trip even though I will have reached 70 and we may still be playing turgid football. I just love being part of a live football crowd at Palace.

Most away games I've been to have been great days/weekends away, spoilt by football.

Most home games I go to are great days out, spoilt by football.

But it's the odd one that you remember for the great day/weekend ENHANCED by the football that keeps you going back.

I do miss the pints in the Box Park beforehand, the hugs with people around you when we score like you'd hug family, not even knowing most of their names, and the reminiscing about when it was all better in the old days.

I don't miss the rail replacement bus service to and from Three Bridges in the slightest though.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I'm looking forward too my pre match beers and the singing glad all over at Selhurst I'm not looking forward too the quality of football or the Arthur toilets or my 250 mile round trip and I've been made redundant but I'll be back definitely

All the time I can I will. I’ve been going for close on 60 years, even if the football is dire I can’t stop now.
One thing I have learned over the years is too really enjoy and appreciate the good days and big wins and don’t get despondent on the bad days, we’re only here once so enjoy life. Never take a defeat home too the miss’s.
